Tips to Create a Balanced Life

The very first message that I have for you is that you really don’t have to listen to anybody else’s opinions, criticisms, or even their advice, as regards you.  The best thing to do in life is to follow your own inner guide and your own instincts.  However, as we live in a super speedy, social media-orientated world, we could easily lose sight of what’s really important…

 

So… what does balance really mean to you?  How would you describe a balanced life?  Some of you may say doing yoga, eating healthily, sleeping enough, others may say that they need to climb mount Everest to become balanced, others may feel that they would need to emigrate, get a dog, finally forgive their relatives, or for that matter themselves.

 

When you are out of balance it simply means that there is something going on in your life that’s not quite what you want or need.  So, for me the best thing I can do is keep my needs and wants in check.  Do an inner interview if you like, in order to know for sure what it is that you really want and need in your life.  You can have short, medium- and long-term goals.  If they are specific enough, you will always know what is best for you.  This process requires 100% honesty and for you to look deep within yourself to decide if it is achievable or not, if it is not, then ask yourself what it is that you need to change.

 

If the lifestyle that you choose to live matches your personality, your needs and your wants, then that is as close to balance as you need to be.  The same goes with the things that you think, the things that you say and the things that you do.  If any of these 3 are in contradiction with each other or even more so if they are all different, then you have got a lot to deal with… and surely that means it’s time for change.
